Banderas Goes ‘SOLO’
Variety reports that Antonio Banderas (MASK OF ZORRO, SHREK) will direct a science fiction ”psychological thriller” entitled SOLO.
Banderas make the film in Spain with his Green Moon production company, though it will be shot in English.
The script, by BAND OF BROTHERS writer Erik Jendresen, features a ”Spanish colonel suffering post-conflict trauma”. Jendresen also wrote THE BIG BANG, a detective thriller with a possible SF-twist, which stars Antonio Banderas, currently in post-production.
THE BIG BANG’s tagline reads “ The search for the ultimate missing person ends… at the beginning of time.” Sounds interesting, but no American distributor has been set, as far as can be determined at this reporting.
