‘Altitude’ Picked Up – Trailer
Accoring to The Hollywood Reporter, the SF/Horror film ALTITUDE has been picked up for release by Anchor Bay Films.
“After a mysterious malfunction sends their small plane climbing out of control, a rookie pilot (90210’s Jessica Lowndes) and her four teenage friends find themselves trapped in a deadly showdown with a supernatural force.”
Directed by Kaare Andrews, perhaps better known as an artist for Marvel Comics, from a screenplay by Paul A. Birkett (HELLHOUNDS).
Seems to have a Lovecratian feel, though perhaps it’s more akin to Sir Arthur Conan Doyles’ The Horror of the Heights (1913), in which giant, translucent octopus-like creatures haunted the upper atmosphere, attacking pilots and planes that ventured too high.
