The week of January 26 offers something for everyone on Blu-ray and DVD. There’s big-budget action packed science fiction in the form of SURROGATES. There’s low-budget horror in the form of PONTYPOOL. There cult and camp by the boatload thanks to a bunch of new Riff Trax DVDs, skewering such films as PLANET OF THE DINOSAURS, VOODOO MAN, and PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE (which they have done before, but this time the commentary is taken from the live performances that were broadcast to theatres nationwide courtesy of Fathom). And there is even a classic horror collection from Legend, offering THE SKULL, THE MAN WHO COULD CHEAT DEATH, and THE DEADLY BEES (the later of which does not quite deserve to be in the company of the first two).
