Sorority Row opens September 11
Stop me if you’ve heard this one: some girls are being killed because they were involved in a prank that accidentally killed one of their sorority sisters. Well, it should sound familiar: this is a remake of 1983’s HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW – although why anyone would bother securing the rights is a mystery. Although the film is not bad by the standards of ’80s slasher films, it contains precious little plot to remake, just a basic set-up. With Brian Evigan, Lea Pipes, Rumer Willis, and Carrie Fisher (from STAR WARS to this? Wow!). Stewart Hendler directs from a script by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger (sounds like a psuedonym - wonder what’s going on there). Summit Entertainment had planed to release on October 2 but pushed up to September 11.
