LA Film Critics pick Wall-E as Best Pic
The Los Angeles Film Critics Association has selected DIsney-Pixar’s beloved computer-animated science fiction film WALL-Eas the best of the year. The bright and colorful crowd-pleaser beat out the more somber and serious THE DARK KNIGHT, which landed in second place. DARK KNIGHT’ also took the runner up place in the director category (Christopher Nolan) and production design (Nathan Crowley), while the late Heath Ledger earned a post-humous supporting actor win for his role as the Joker. The only other genre title to actually earn even a runner-up spot was THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, which took second place for its music score by Alexandre Desplat.
