APPRECIATING RICHARD FLEISHER: The New York Times laments that the Big Apple has not devoted a full-fledged retrospective to the director (who died two years ago). Although not a sci-fi specialist, Fleischer did direct some remarkable genre items, including SOYLET GREEN and Disney’s 1954 classic 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA.
