Teeth

It got lost in the mammoth shadow of CLOVERFIELD’s rampaging monster, but there was another horror film released this weekend: a low-budget satirical effort entitled TEETH, which found its way into a few theatres on its way to eventual home video release. We thought we would offer a couple links to articles about the film.

A black comedy horror film that exploits the myth of vagina dentata.

HORROR FILM WITH REAL BITE: The New York Post offers a brief interview with writer-director Mitchell Lichtenstein.

Dread Central reviews the film here:

Teethis the best movie about blood-thirsty vaginas ever made. That said, this isn’t B-movie level schlock. Instead writer/director Mitchell Lichtenstein goes for a carefully crafted high-brow satire of sex and family values, like a coming-of-age story via David Cronenberg (only with a lot more laughs). Played with a straight face, this is the most twisted story of female empowerment ever told and goes for equal parts character drama and gallows humor – with plenty of bloody shocks thrown in for good measure.
