Sci-Fi Oscar Art?

File this one under predictions that did not come true.

A website that goes by the obscure name of io9 proclaimed “Science Fiction Will Rule the Oscars This Year,” based on the fact that the shimmering, star-filled artwork for the official poster was by Drew Struzan, who has provided advertising posters for countless science-fiction films: BLADE RUNNER, BACK TO THE FUTURE, E.T., etc.

As we know from the nominations, sci-fi films did not go over particularly big with Oscar voters this year.
