Final Destination 4 gets director and new dimension
Was there ever a bigger misnomer for a film franchise than FINAL DESTINATION? Clearly, there is nothing final about it, as New Line Cinema is planning a fourth installment, to be helmed by David R. Eillis, who previously directed FINAL DESTINATION 2. Ellis (whose other credits include CELLULAR and SNAKES ON A PLANE) will “direct and develop” the new sequel, which is slated to be filmed in 3D. A screenplay already exists, penned by Eric Bress, who co-wrote FD2. The new story take the same basic premise (if you cheat death, Death will come and get you – in a horrible way) will feature a new set of kids, avoiding continuity with the previous films.
