Bruckheimer pilots 11th Hour to CBS
CBS has won a bidding war for the rights to air ELEVENTH HOUR, an American adaptation of a British science-fiction show that Jerry Bruckheimer will produce for Warner Television. The deal includes a $4-million pilot plus thirteen episodes. The creative team on the show includes director Danny Cannon, an alumni from Bruckheimer’s popular CSI series.
A four-part mini-series, the original ELEVENTH HOUR aired in England in 2006. Patrick Stewart (STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION) starred as Professor Alan Hood. Along with his assitant-bodyguard Rachel Young (Ashley Jensen), the professor investigated mysterious matters of science, a la THE X-FILES. The storylines delt with black market human cloning, hybrid Smallpox, global warming, and a miraculous cure from cancer. No cast has been announced for the remake.
