WHO television series - about a Time Lord from outer space who frequently defends Earth from aliens - will continue to explore the galaxy - past, present, and future - but not always on a regular schedule. There will be a special episode for Christmas this year. Episodes currently being filmed will air in 2008, along with another Christmas special. There will be three specials shot for 2009. And there will be another complete series for 2010. David Tennat will return in the title role for the 2009 specials, along with head writer Russell T. Davies.
