Pulse star joins Heroes

Kirsten Bell in PulseKirsten Bell, who starred in the American remake of the Japanese horror film PULSE, has signed on for an extended guest-starring role in NBC’s hit HEROES. The actress (who first gained fame on VERONICA MARS) will play the mysterious character of Elle, beginning in October. Bell reportedly turned down several other TV offers, including one for LOST, in order to appear on the NBC show, which will squeeze her into the storyline in a manner that will coincide with her availability:

“This was not easy to pull off,” said “Heroes” creator-exec producer Tim Kring. “But since we’re an ensemble show, with many arcs playing out through the year, we found a way to jump into a small window in (Bell’s) schedule.”
