Gaiman’s “Neverwhere” slated for big screen

Author Neil Gaiman, on whose novel the recently released STARDUST was based, has several other projects slated for big screen treatment, including NEVERWHERE. According to this, Gaiman has begun revising his 2006 screenplay, since David Slade (director of the upcoming vampire film 30 DAYS OF NIGHT) is on board. The Weinstein Company is looking to distribute the pic, which began life as a BBC mini-series in 1995, before morphing into a novel, a comic book, and a play.

  1. I wonder, with Stardust doing so poorly(unfortunately)at the box office, if Neverwhere will still get green-lit.

  2. We can only hope for the best. A strong showing by STARDUST on home video might be enough to make NEVERWHERE a “go” project.
